Best Book For Baking Tips?
I'd like to get a baking book for my mom as a present. She's a fantastic cook and knows a lot about that, but when it comes to baking nothing ever seems to come out of the oven like it's supposed to. She knows the basics, like never play with the ingredients, but I think she'd benefit from good tips. I'm looking for a book that answers questions and has helpful tips, but not for somebody who's never baked in their life. Maybe one with interesting recipes and a good step by step guide, or a "frequently asked questions" book. Thanks!
i think Ina Garten is really good with baking so u shud try one of her books like....
Sweet Expressions, Ina Garten's Barefoot Contessa
by Garten, Ina
and
Signature Note Cards Barefoot Contessa Desserts
by Garten, Ina
Like your mom, my sister-in-law is a superb cook but had some problems with baking. We gave her Baking Illustrated for her birthday last summer, and she absolutely LOVES it. She’s had so many great baking successes since we gave it to her that she says she can’t WAIT until we go out there to visit them over the holidays.
You can find the book on Cook’s Illustrated website.
