I myself haven’t made a pie before, but my mom has and she said it took her many many, many tries to make her first one that turned out.

You make it look so easy, when in reality, making a pie crust is one of the most difficult things a baker can make! I never bother rolling one out, and then have to unroll it into the pie plate. I just take the ball of dough and press it in.
