What Is The Best Method For Baking Pumpkin Seeds?

To rinse or not to rinse? Baking time and temperature? Seasonings? Anything else you want to add...Thanks!

Wow, different methods. I rinse them in a strainer, blot in a kitchen towel, put in a bowl and put in a little vegetable oil to coat a bit - not much. Spread out on baking sheet, sprinkle salt overtop, put in 350 degree oven. Not sure of the time, but after you see them starting to sizzle a bit, mix them so they toast evenly.
The thinner ones always cook faster, so keep a close watch on them.

My dad wipes them off, but doesn’t wash them, then bakes them at 350 or so until they just barely toast. He salts them and cools them, and they’re tasty!

I use to wash until clean, put some salt and fry in frying pan on medium heat without oil, stir all the time until turn light brown. Good luck

Rinse them under cold water pat dry with a paper towel then bake them on a cookie sheet at 325 for 10 minutes. Add salt or whatever you want to top it with and bake for 10 more minutes. I like to experiment with different seasonings (salt & Vinegar, garlic etc)

I boil them first until all the loose pumpkin guts float up. Then I rinse and place them on a foil covered cookie sheet and bake at 400F until dry and crunchy. I used to salt them, but got an awesome idea to use popcorn seasoning to flavour them.
