I dont think boiling adds much to the experience of eating fresh bread. I actually prefer non boiled baked bread most times. perhaps its a gentile thing ? ah
No boil bagel huh California Style….hummmm interesting
Am I wrong, but I love these vids, but if we are being traditional here, which way to do this and that, a bacon bagel…..arent bagels Jewish food…or am i wrong. I do know that what this man cooks looks wonderful, thats all I want to know.
You dumb dessert dwelling bitch. First off. you boil a ‘Bagel” to get a nice chewy skin on the outs which is what makes a bagel a bagel. second just by calling something California doesnt make it gormnet. it makes you a dumb ass. please try to fix these kirkland brand buns with holes in them and make some real bagels. after all, its your peoples food. Please dont try to re invent the bagel like you have tried to re create the language that is English.
Really. Bacon bagels that aren’t boiled? Sorry, as Jay said, this guy doesn;t get it. These are “rolls with holes”, not bagels. Even fruit or raisen bagels are pretty far from the tradition. Certainly some people eat jam on a bagel, but you put the jam in the dough!
Bacon bagel? This guy doesn’t get it.
I live in California and we boil our bagels. Soft bagels are for supermarkets.
No boil bagels also don’t have the crispy outside and soft inside, pretty much bread with a hole.
cool… and where is your shop i want to try.. your bread…
This isn’t tips, it’s a story!
