Steak – Top Round, What Is Your Best Baking Recipe For It?

My normal recipe is to use lots and lots of onion, garlic, mushrooms, beef broth as well as seasoning it up as it cooks for a few hrs.. let me know your variations - its on the menu tomorrow! thanks!

What I call Busy Day Steak:

2 lbs Round Steak
2 cans Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 packet of dry Onion Soup mix
1 TBSP Butter

Dot the center of a large sheet of heavy duty foil with the butter. Sprinkle with half of the onion soup mix. Place the steak on top of this. Spread the mushroom soup over the top and sprinkle with the remaining onion soup mix. Fold it all up in the foil. (it helps to pull the ends upward to avoid leaking). Place on a cookie sheet. Bake at 375 for 1 hour.

Very good. Great with mashed potatoes.

Note: 1 lbs of steak and 1 can of mushroom soup also works.

Marinate the steaks in Dale’s Seasoning. Rub them with some minced garlic, cracked pepper, salt and onion powder. Bake it in the oven at 350 for about 30 minutes. Delicious!
