I want to try baking a cake in the microwave, it would be an eggless cake, what can i do to try baking it evenly?

Lol dont even bother trying. Honestly - it doesnt work. I thought I'd take a shortcut by doing that once and it never ever bakes through. The edges get cooked but the center stays mushy and the longer you try to keep cooking it the edges get burned and dry and the center STILL doesnt get completely baked.

  • Ye, don’t. No seriously don’t. If you can’t be bothered to wait for the oven to cook the cake, you don’t deserve cake. Whats the point in cooking a cake anyway when your just going to poop it out.

my sister is scared of the oven, so this is the recipe she uses for
    Chocolate Microwave Cake
    INGREDIENTS
    1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    1 cup sugar
    3 tablespoons baking cocoa
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1 cup cold water
    1/3 cup vegetable oil
    1 tablespoon vinegar
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    CHOCOLATE SAUCE:
    1 cup sugar
    3 tablespoons cornstarch
    2 tablespoons baking cocoa
    1 cup boiling water
    Dash salt
    1 tablespoon butter
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    DIRECTIONS
In a bowl, combine the first five ingredients. Stir in water, oil, vinegar and vanilla until well blended. Pour into an ungreased 8-in. square microwave-safe dish. Microwave on high for 6-8 minutes, turning the dish every 2 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. In a 1-qt microwave safe bowl, combine sugar, cornstarch and cocoa. Stir in water and salt. Microwave 1 minute more. Stir in butter and vanilla. Spoon over pieces of warm cake.

    Enjoy!

Do you know the manufacturer of your microwave? A lot of microwaves come with cook books/recipies, even if you no longer have this yourself, chances are good that the website for whatever brand you have has some on there.

In addition are you just using a standard microwave or do you have a multi-purpose convection/light/ and microwave machine? If you have one of the combos, that will also affect how it is cooked.
