Cupcake Frosting? How to achieve this look?
I usually just use a knife and put the frosting on the cupcakes, without any decorations.. but I'm pretty bored and going to do something creative. How would I achieve this look for the cupcakes? What tools do I need to buy and the cost? Can't I just find it at Walmart?

Just put the frosting into a small, freezer baggie. Push it towards one of the ends, and cut a small piece off the end. Use that as a piping bag and pipe around the top of the cupcake. No need to get a piping bag for cupcakes:) ...... If the frosting is fluffier, you can just turn the cupcake upside-down and swirl it in the frosting; then pull straight up.... If you want to smooth the frosting on with a knife, you can pipe 3 concentric circles (or lines) on top (use the squirt-type canned frosting with the tips), then gently pull through the circles (or lines) with a toothpick to create wavy lines or "cobwebs" on top.....
