Oval Casserole
large oval Heavy i think ceramic casserole dish or dutch oven?
hi i found at curb side in a box a black oval very heavy medium sized pot with a glass lid but the lid handle on top is melted a bit and is plastic.I would like some ideas as to if this is a dutch oven or casserole dish i have never used either one before and need some help please.
yes it is really big and heavy and thick ceramic i dont think porcelaine definitely no iron in it at all so because the glass lid handle is melted i wasnt sure if i could use it in the oven for a dish and wonder why they got rid of it.I swear it must weigh at least 5 pounds.
no name on it either for the manufacturer its all black as well with a thin glass lid
From your description, it sounds like you found a crock pot for use in a slow cooker. You can't use this either on the stove or in the oven. You need it's matching slow cooker appliance.
